"My parents were church musicians and they needed a bass player for the band. They handed me an electric bass at age 9 and we figured it out together from there."

Why bass still?

"Playing bass allows me to support my friends rhythmically and harmonically, and to participate in a wide variety of ensembles and styles of music. I get a lot of satisfaction from the foundational role the bass serves in any group."
